The word Simbathe is hebrew in origin and is derived from the word "Simchah".
Simchah means "exceeding joy or pleasure".

We opened for business in 1997 with our first show dog, and we purchased our first brood bitch in 1999.
She was a Rip Van Winkle granddaughter, and she became the love of our life.
Her first and only litter with us produced several pups that have earned titles
such as Master Hunter, Junior Hunter, and even one Japan Champion. Of course, also
from that litter was our pride and Joy, Simbathe’s Vannie Golden Nugget, who is
an International, Mexican and American Champion. Another pup from this litter went
Best of Breed 7 consecutive shows. We were off to an awesome start.
In the past few years we have changed and grown in knowledge but not in size. We research pedigrees
up to a year in advance before a breeding occurs. We check not only for beauty, but
good temperament, hips, eyes, elbows, and of course hearts. Our litters come out
of months of preparation long before you see the final product. Our 7 children and
ourselves start handling the puppies from birth, thus starting and important socialization
process. When a litter arrives, our pups are sold to approved homes. Our labs
are dual purpose and the pedigrees say it all.
We also do lab rescue work in the four corners, and are always looking for good homes to
place forgotten and abandoned labs. For more info, just contact us!
